The Business of Events is pleased to announce Cvent as its latest official partner. Cvent is a renowned leader in meetings, event management and hospitality technology and has maintained a proactive presence in the global sector for more than 20 years.
The partnership aims to support and enhance the policy work conducted by The Business of Events, ultimately contributing to the growth and prosperity of the events industry.
The Business of Events is committed to promoting and advocating for the events sector, recognising its significant economic, social, and cultural contributions. Cvent is an organisation equally passionate about the events industry and works to drive positive change and foster a more robust events landscape.
Cvent has established itself as a global leader in event management technology, offering innovative solutions and cutting-edge platforms to streamline event planning, management, and execution.
Felicia Asiedu, Senior Marketing Manager Europe, Cvent (pictured), said: “The Business of Events plays a crucial role in advocating for the meetings and events sector. At Cvent, we share their passion for driving initiatives aimed to propel the industry forward. This partnership presents the opportunity for us to provide our expertise and resources, including research insights and recommendations on the latest trends to innovations and challenges facing the industry.
We are delighted to join the partners already working alongside The Business of Events. We look forward to collaborating with fellow industry leaders to inspire change, develop strategic plans to connect with government, policy makers and influencers and contribute to the growth of the events landscape.”
Martin Fullard, Director, News & Content, The Business of Events, said: “Our partnership with Cvent marks a significant milestone for The Business of Events and signifies our commitment to driving progress in the events industry; it is the first time a technology company has got involved.
“Having worked with Cvent’s European team for several years, I know first-hand how well connected and respected they are across the industry. Through their data channels they are able to articulate trends across the world, as attested in their latest reports.
“I look forward to inviting the team to the policy forum in the autumn and engaging with them to help outline a plan for the sector.”
In May, Cvent released its lists of the Top Meeting Destinations and Top Meeting Hotels for Europe. The lists – which also include regional rankings for North America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East & Africa – were compiled based on sourcing activity through the Cvent Supplier Network, one of the world’s largest venue-sourcing platforms.
