The Business of Events can announce that its London Policy Forum will take place concurrently with The Meetings Show and The Business Travel Show on 19th June.

This collaborative event will mark the unveiling of The Business of Events’ independent Policy Agenda, presenting a comprehensive set of recommendations intended for governmental consideration. These recommendations will bolster the ongoing efforts of the sector’s trade bodies.

By partnering with The Meetings Show, The Business of Events aims to extend its reach to a wider array of industry stakeholders, providing them with an opportunity to engage in dialogue and gain insights into the sector’s policy objectives.

Martin Fullard, Director of The Business of Events, remarked: “As 2024 looms as an election year, it’s crucial to recognise the receptiveness of all political factions to industry input. The events sector stands as a pivotal driver of economic growth, and our London Policy Forum will serve as a platform to underscore its significance. We are thrilled to collaborate with the Northstar team and anticipate that this alliance will empower senior leaders across conferences, meetings, and exhibitions to actively shape our industry’s policy landscape.”

Jack Marczewski, Portfolio Event Director at Northstar Travel Group, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with The Business of Events to support their ongoing work to raise the importance and profile of business meetings and events as an economic, policy, and community driver. As the UK’s leading event that brings together the world’s meetings and events community, we provide the perfect platform to host their London Policy Forum where senior leaders can collectively inspire and influence change to contribute to the growth of the business meetings and events sector.”
